Busy week for book events

June 2, 2019 by david

Following a successful book launch event on May 27, and in the final lead-up to my Monday departure on the Electric Burning Souls Road Trip (aka the national book tour) I had a week full of book promotion events in the Ottawa region. Thanks to the Almonte Public Library, Mill Street Books and the Humm, for the opportunity to do a reading and engage in a great discussion with local readers.

Also to Haven Books & Cafe, now stocking Burning Souls prominently in their new cafe. To Perfect Books on Elgin Street, I enjoyed the chance to chat with staff and patrons and sign copies of my book. It was hard to resist purchasing more books than I sold. Ah, the temptation of the independent book store! And last came our brunch-time local authors display at the Ottawa Tennis and Lawn Bowling Club, along with dear friend Tanis Browning-Shelp, author of three engaging works of Young Adult fiction. Also with bicycles on her covers. Now it is westward ho! First stop: Sudbury
